Actor Nicolas Cage’s son is set to be arraigned next week on charges of drunken driving and hit-and-run stemming from a February crash in the San Fernando Valley.
Weston Cage, 26, is facing one count of DUI and two counts of hit-and- run, with arraignment set for March 22 at the San Fernando courthouse, according to a spokesman for the City Attorney’s Office.
TMZ reported that Cage was involved in a minor accident Feb. 4 and exchanged information with the other driver, but sped off before police arrived. Cage then lost control of his car, ran down some mailboxes and crashed into a tree about a mile away, according to TMZ.
The actor-singer’s blood-alcohol level was allegedly .15, nearly double the legal limit, according to the website, which cited a law enforcement source.
