Disney’s live-action remake of its animated classic “Beauty and The Beast” continued to dwarf the competition at theaters over the weekend, spoiling the debut of the latest superhero film, “Power Rangers,” according to final figures released Monday.

“Beauty and The Beast” collected roughly $90.4 million between Friday and Sunday to lead the North American box office, according to comScore. The film has earned more than $319 million in its first two weeks of release.

“Power Rangers,” meanwhile, opened in a distant second place with $40.3 million.

The adventure “Kong: Skull Island” placed third with $14.7 million, followed by the debut of the outer-space thriller “Life” with $12.5 million and the “X-Men” sequel “Logan,” with $10.3 million.

Rounding out the top 10 films of the weekend were “Get Out” ($8.8 million); “Chips” ($7.7 million); “The Shack” ($3.9 million); “The Lego Batman Movie” ($2.1 million); and “The Belko Experiment” ($1.9 million).
