Rapper Soulja Boy has pleaded no contest to a felony count of possession of an assault weapon.
The 26-year-old rapper, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, was immediately sentenced to 240 days of community labor and five years felony probation, according to Greg Risling of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
The charge involved a Mini Draco AR-IS assault weapon.
Way was charged Jan. 23 by Los Angeles County prosecutors with three counts, including the assault weapon charge. The plea was entered Thursday.
