The Smurfs were unable to dislodge a wisecracking baby and a Disney beast at the North American box offices this weekend.

“The Boss Baby” and “Beauty And the Beast” couold not be dislodged by the newcomers: “Smurfs: The Lost Village” and “Going In Style.”

“The Boss Baby” was on track for a $26.3 million weekend. Over 10 days of showings, the Alec Baldwin vehicle was on the way to $89.4 million in ticket sales in Canada and the United States, according to Fox estimates gathered by comScore.

Disney’s “Beauty And the Beast” was predicted to deal $25 million in tickets this weekend. Over nearly a month, it has amassed a $432.3 million tally in the domestic market.

Two debuts trailed far behind: “Smurfs: The Lost Village” at $14 million and “Going In Style” at $12.5 million.

Rounding out the 10 most-popular movies this week, as estimated by the studios, were “Ghost In The Shell” ($7.4 million), “Power Rangers” ($6.2 million), “Kong: Skull Island” ($5.8 million), “Logan” ($4 million), “Get Out” ($4 million) and “The Case For Christ” (debuting at $3.9 million).
