Rihanna lives up to her Instagram name — badgalriri — by posting photos of Queen Elizabeth’s head on her body.
“It appears the pictures were to celebrate the Queen’s birthday — she turned 91 on Friday — but many people thought the images were disrespectful,” reported the New York Daily News.
But many on social media aren’t tut-tutting. Typical of the reactions: “I really don’t think the queen loses any sleep over Rihanna’s instagram posts” and “Rihanna doesn’t have to show the queen of England any respect because Rihanna is actually the queen of the world.”
The singer — who in 2015 launched a Los Angeles-based beauty and stylist agency named Fr8me — gets credit for Photoshop creativity, though.
“Rihanna seemingly responded to backlash, posting another photo of Queen Elizabeth wearing a ‘I’m so Fancy’ tiara while holding a bottle of liquor. ‘It’s not that deep,’ she wrote,” noted the Daily News.
