Michael Moore hopes his new Broadway show does what late-night comics and the Democrats weren’t able to do: Take down Donald Trump.

The director announced Monday that he’s making his theatrical debut in “The Terms of My Surrender” at the Belasco Theatre.

“While the premise seems unlikely, keep in mind that Moore predicted Trump’s unlikely victory months before it happened,” noted the New York Daily News. “And by the sound of it, Moore’s show is meant to get through to New Yorkers as much as anyone.”

Moore said: “Guess what? There’s an election coming up next year.”

Moore’s show opens a 12-week run Aug. 10, with the tagline “Can a Broadway show take down a sitting president?”

“Why not aim for that?” Moore said. “I think humor is one of the great medicines and satire is one of the great non-violent weapons against those in power and I plan to employ those each night and twice on Wednesday and Saturday.”
