Bill Cosby says he won’t testify at his June sex-assault trial, but his reasons are confusing.

“More than two sides to every story,” the 79-year-old comedian told SiriusXM’s Michael Smerconish. “I just don’t want to sit there and have to figure out what I believe is the truthful answer or whether or not I’m opening a can of something.”

The interview airing Tuesday morning represents the first time he’s spoken publicly in two years about the allegations, said the New York Daily News.

“If a jury says so forth and so on, there’s still public opinion,” he said. “I know the side that I’m on and the side that I’m hoping for and after that there’s more work to be done.”

The Daily News added: “During the 30-minute interview, Cosby also confirmed that he is registered in the state of Massachusetts as ‘legally unsighted.’ He told Smerconish that he has several bumps on his forehead that prove he’s walked into things here and there.”
