“Hunger Games” star Jennifer Lawrence may have lost some of her appetite for air travel over the weekend.
The FAA said the private plane she was in experienced double-engine failure, and was forced to make an emergency landing in Buffalo, New York. She was unhurt.
“Lawrence’s plane was leaving Louisville, Kentucky — where the actress’ family lives — and was cruising at 31,000 feet when one of the plane’s engines stopped functioning properly. Then, when the pilot was in the process of executing an emergency landing, the second engine went out too,” said the Times-Union of Albany.
The Buffalo News reported that a Beechcraft 400 Beechjet was diverted to the airport in Cheektowaga at 1:15 p.m. Saturday after possible left engine failure.
The aircraft landed safely with two crew members and two passengers on board. The passengers weren’t identified, but E! News talked to a Lawrence representative who confirmed that she was on board, said the Buffalo News.
Lawrence hasn’t made any comment on social media.
In 2014, she told ABC News: “I’ll never get a Twitter. If you ever see a Facebook, Instagram or Twitter that says it’s me, it most certainly is not.”
