When Katy Perry opened a “pop-up” shop last month in L.A.’s Chinatown, the Hollywood Reporter asked: “Are you even a pop star if you don’t have your own pop-up these days?”

Kendrick Lamar released “Damn” on Good Friday 2017.

As Rolling Stone noted: “Kendrick Lamar will pair his upcoming Damn. Tour with pop-up shops in select cities on the tour itinerary.”

Near the end of the 17-city tour is Los Angeles, the many-time Grammy Award winner plans his own store for six days — Aug. 6-11 — at Blends, 725 S. Los Angeles St. — a half-hour north of where he grew up at 1612 W. 137th Street in Compton, where he grew up.

Blends, described as a “hyper-trendy boutique selling the latest sneakers and apparel,” is only about a mile away from the Staples Center, where Lamar will perform Aug. 6, 8 and 9.

It’s not yet clear whether “exclusive” merchandise will be sold at the Lamar pop-up.

But Rolling Stone said would likely feature some of the Lamar-related apparel Top Dawg Entertainment has unveiled in recent weeks.

A rotating U.S. map shows where “Damn” stores will pop up.
