Comic-Con 2017 may be remembered as the one where “Lock him up” became a thing and Trump-inspired wigs adorned helmets of “Star Wars” stormtroopers.

As HuffPost’s David Moye noted: “‘The Simpsons’ creator Matt Groening made no secret of his feelings about Donald Trump at a Comic-Con panel on Saturday. He led a crowd of hundreds of fans in a rousing chant: ‘Lock Him Up!’”
Groening was part of a Ballroom 20 panel focusing on the Fox show entering its 29th season — and not the cavernous Hall H (for Hillary?) that might have commanded a bigger roar.
“It all started when Groening told fans that executives of 21st Century Fox had told ‘Simpsons’ writers to go easier on Fox News after the animated sitcom made a joke that the cable news outlet was ‘not racist, but No. 1 with racists.’”
On social media, Groening took grief for his uncannny resemblance to Trump adviser Steve Bannon.
