Anthony “The Mooch” Scaramucci has rhino-thick skin. He’s set to appear Monday on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”

The short-lived White House communications director had been recruited by “dozens of television interviewers,” says CNN.

Despite being mocked by late-night comics for his foul mouth chat with a New Yorker reporter, Scaramucci chose the highest-rated show of the genre for a guest appearance.

“It remains to be seen whether Scaramucci and Colbert will be blowing each other kisses by night’s end,” said USA Today. “But Scaramucci is still peeved at [Ryan] Lizza for spilling all his four-letter beans, judging from his tweet Wednesday night.”

The Chicago Tribune added context: “He’s kept the feud with Lizza alive, tweeting Thursday that the reporter is ‘the Linda Tripp of 2017,’ a reference to the woman who taped conversations with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky.”

On his show, Colbert said: “The Mooch! I can’t believe it! We got the Mooch. We set out a Mooch trap.”

Colbert said he plans to ask Scaramucci what it’s like inside the Trump White House and “how loyal he feels the president is now. … We’ll do some front stabbing, it will be a lot of fun.”
