Another scary movie was number one at the North American box office this weekend, as “Happy Death Day” scored a $26.5 million debut.

“Blade Runner 2049” dropped to second place with a $15.1 million weekend, and $60.6 million gross over 10 days, according to studio estimates.

An R-rated Jackie Chan movie opened in third place, as “The Foreigner” was on track for a $12.8 million weekend debut.

“It” continued on a tear, in its fourth week of exhibition, with a $6 million dollar weekend and $314.9 million in domestic sales over 38 days of sales.

Rounding out the 10 most-popular movies this weekend, in the United States and Canada, as estimated by the studios and collated by comScore, were “The Mountain Between Us” ($5.7 million), “American Made” ($5.4 million), “The Golden Circle” ($5.3 million), “The Lego Ninjago Movie” ($4.3 million), “My Little Pony: The Movie” ($4 million), and  “Victor and Abdul” ($3.1 million).
