If Kevin Spacey had come out as gay before Sunday, he might have been the Toast of the LGBT Town. Instead, he’s being roasted.
In a BuzzFeed blockbuster, actor Anthony Rapp accused the “House of Cards” star of making a sexual advance at him when Rapp was 14.
Now the gay community is slamming Spacey.

“Coming out as a gay man is not the same thing as coming out as someone who preyed on a 14-year-old,” film critic Richard Lawson said on Twitter. “Conflating those things is disgusting. This exposes the gay community to a million tired old criticisms and conspiracies.”
“Star Trek” legend George Takei told The Hollywood Reporter: “When power is used in a non-consensual situation, it is a wrong…. Men who improperly harass or assault do not do so because they are gay or straight — that is a deflection. They do so because they have the power, and they chose to abuse it.”
