Larry David, who plays Bernie Sanders on “Saturday Night Live,” has a new supporter, and distant cousin Sanders would be shocked.
Conservative firebrand Ann Coulter comes to David’s defense in a series of tweets following his much-maligned monologue including a joke about trying to find a date at a Nazi concentrate camp.
“I’ve always been obsessed with women,” David said, “and I’ve often wondered if I’d grown up in Poland when Hitler came to power and was sent to a concentration camp, would I be checking women out in the camp? I think I would.”
Splitsider.com went on: “He then went on to complain that there are no pickup lines that would work in a concentration camp. I think horniness in the face of death is kind of life-affirming. But David’s monologue was just one moment in an episode that was out of whack, overall.”
But while the Anti-Defamation League and others hammered David for making light of the Holocaust, Coulter joined others in supporting the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” creator.
“Aren’t there any Jews at the ADL?” Coulter tweeted They’re supposed to be funny.”
She also said: “IT’S NOT A HOLOCAUST JOKE! It’s a ‘Failed Pick-up Artist joke.’”

Others took the side of comedians’ right to offend.
I have a feeling that the people being offended by the Larry David joke feel offended on a regular basis.
