Actress Tracee Ellis Ross of the ABC comedy ”black-ish” will host the 2017 American Music Awards at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles Sunday, when her mother, Diana Ross, will receive the American Music Award for Lifetime Achievement, the producers announced today.

”I am thrilled to host this special night which honors some of the greatest musical talents in our industry,” said the designated hostess, who received the 2017 Golden Globe Award for best performance by an actress in a comedy series. ”And I’m especially thrilled to host this year when my mother is receiving the American Music Award for Lifetime Achievement.”

Diana Ross is scheduled to perform at the event, along with Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, Selena Gomez, Niall Horan, Imagine Dragons & Khalid, Demi Lovato, and Pink, among others, according to producers dick clark productions and ABC.

The awards will start at 5 p.m. East Coast time on ABC.
