Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi have evacuated their Carpinteria beachside home near Santa Barbara, threatened by the Thomas fire, according to reports.
On Sunday, their cats and dogs were led to safety first.
“We just had to evacuate our pets,” DeGeneres tweeted Sunday. “I’m praying for everyone in our community and thankful to all the incredible firefighters.”
Everyone in the Montecito area is checking up on each other and helping to get people and animals to safety. I’m proud to be a part of this community. I’m sending lots of love and gratitude to the fire department and sheriffs. Thank you all. #ThomasFire

She’s not alone.
Rob Lowe also fled his home in Montecito, says TMZ and other outlets.
“Drew Barrymore, Jeff Bridges, Al Gore, Ashton Kutcher and George Lucas also have homes in the threatened area,” said the San Jose Mercury News, citing a Deadline report.
The Daily Mail in UK added: “It’s unclear whether the evacuation will affect shooting of Ellen’s talk show, which is shot in Burbank…. Monday’s episode with guest Jennifer Hudson is still on the calendar.”
