From football to the future, four video games earned award nominations Thursday for the Writers Guild of America Award for video game writing.
The prize will be presented during the WGA Awards on Feb. 11, when concurrent ceremonies will be held in New York and The Beverly Hilton.
The video game writing nominations went to:
— “Dishonored: Death of the Outsider,” external writers Anna Megill and Hazel Monforton, lead narrative designer Sachka Duval; Arkane Studios- Behane Softworks;
— “Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow,” written by Cas Ruffin and Patric M. Verrone; TinyCo;
— “Horizon Zero Dawn,” narrative director John Gonzalez, lead writer Benjamin McCaw, writing by Ben Schroder and Anne Toole, additional writing by Dee Warrick and Meg Jayanth; Guerilla Games; and
— “Madden NFL 18: Longshot,” written by Michael Young and Adrian Todd Zuniga, story by Michael Young; Tiburon/Electronic Arts.
