The team captained by Tiger Woods defeated the team captained by Fred Couples, 18.5-11.5, Monday in the Genesis Open’s inaugural Celebrity Cup at The Riviera Country Club.

Team Woods for the four-ball net better ball match-play event on Riviera’s closing nine holes consisted of actor Mark Wahlberg, musician Kid Rock, singer Nick Jonas, Pro Football Hall of Fame member Jerry Rice, Arizona Cardinals star receiver Larry Fitzgerald and social media personality Paige Spiranac.

Team Couples consisted of actors Chris Pratt, Luke Wilson and Oliver Hudson, former Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush, “The Bachelor” host Chris Harrison and talk show host Carson Daly.

University of Kentucky senior Lukas Euler shot a 4-under-par 67 to win the Collegiate Showcase and earning a spot in the Genesis Open’s 144-player field. Oklahoma State senior Hayden Wood was second with a 1-under-par 70.

USC sophomore Kaito Onishi was among three players tying for third in the 12-player field at par-72. UCLA senior Cole Madey was in a three-way tie for seventh at 2-over-par 73.

The Riviera Country Club is closed to the public on Tuesday. The pro-am will be held Wednesday, with Tiger Woods beginning play at 6:40 a.m. Tickets are $25 in advance, $35 at the box office.

Tournament play starts Thursday, with ticket prices beginning at $55 in advance and $65 at the box office.
