Police in Long Beach continued their search Sunday for a 37-year-old man who ran away from a group from his care facility while on a morning walk to a park.

Shawn Tischler took off Tuesday May 7, as soon as the group got to the park and was last seen running south on Paramount Boulevard toward South Street, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

“The staff looked for him in the area, but were unable to locate him,” police said.

Tischler, who suffers from an unspecified medical condition and may become disoriented, is white, 5-feet-6 inches tall, weighs about 115 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

He has a triangle-shaped tattoo on his lower back and was wearing a black shirt, blue vest, black pants and black shoes when he ran off.

Anyone with information regarding Tischler’s whereabouts was urged to call the LBPD’s Missing Persons Detail at 562-570-7246 or police dispatch at 562-435-6711.

Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers by calling 800-222-TIPS.
