Directors from FX’s “Fosse/Verdon” earned three of the six Directors Guild of America nominations Monday for TV movies/limited series.

Thomas Kail, Minkie Spiro and Jessica Yu were all nominated for their work on various episodes of the series, which centers on choreographer Bob Fosse and actress/dancer Gwen Verdon. Also earning nods in the category were Ava DuVernay for Netflix’s “When They See Us,” Vince Gilligan for Netflix’s “El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie” and Johan Renck for HBO’s “Chernobyl.”

Directors of episodes of “Real Time With Bill Maher,” “CBS Sunday Morning,” “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” “Saturday Night Live” and “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” scored nominations for regularly scheduled variety/talk/news/sports directing, while reality programming nods went to directors from “Queer Eye,” “Encore!,” “The Chef Show,” “First Responders Live” and “American Ninja Warrior.”

DGA nominations in feature film categories will be announced Tuesday, while additional television nominations, including comedy and drama series, will be unveiled Friday.

The DGA Awards will be presented Jan. 25 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
