Backstage Sunday evening after their second SAG Awards win for ensemble comedy, members of the cast of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” said they were thrilled about a fourth season.

“We’re definitely excited to come back for season four …. because we have the best writers in the business,” said Michael Zegen, who plays the title character’s estranged husband. “This is amazing, this is really the icing on the cake.”

Tony Shalhoub, who plays the father of the title character, was also awarded best actor in a comedy series, his fourth win in that category.

The cast has talked about how well they get along, so a reporter asked if they have any advice for players in the political arena.

“Don’t be the (expletive),” star Rachel Brosnahan joked.

On behalf of the entire cast, Marin Hinkle told reporters, “Thank you guys for your continued support of the show, it means so much.”

It was the second straight win at the SAG Awards for the ensemble cast, and the second in a row for Shalhoub.
