Two men were arrested after police responded to a report of a man with a gun in a parking structure at the Grove shopping center, a Los Angeles Police Department officer said Thursday.

Two other men, including the Grammy-nominated rapper known as Offset, were detained, but not arrested, according to the LAPD.

Tremaine Benson, 22, was booked on possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. He was released after posting $35,000 bail which shortly before 5 p.m., according to jail records.

Benson is scheduled to appear in Los Angeles Superior Court in downtown Los Angeles Feb. 24, according to jail records. It is unknown why he was prohibited from carrying a gun.

Demetrius Carter, 28, was booked on carrying a concealed weapon, LAPD Officer Lizeth Lomeli said. Carter was released after posting $35,000 shortly before 5 p.m. Carter’s court information was not immediately available, according to jail records.

Officers responded to the Grove after the department received a 911 call at 7:18 p.m. Wednesday and recovered two guns, LAPD Officer Mike Lopez said.

The entertainment news website TMZ obtained video that appears to show Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephius, being pushed against a wall and handcuffed by police.

Offset is the husband of Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B.
