A pedestrian was killed Saturday evening on the Long Beach (710) Freeway in Paramount.
It happened at 8:50 p.m. on the southbound Long Beach Freeway near Alondra Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Witnesses reported seeing a male in the number 3 lane, the CHP said. A black sedan and a black pickup were pulled over in the area but it was not clear whether they were involved or assisting.
All southbound lanes were shut down at the scene and officers worked to get traffic off the freeway at Alondra Boulevard, the CHP said.
