Riz Ahmed and Viola Davis, both of whom are nominated for Oscars this year, were added Thursday to the “cast” of presenters taking part in Sunday’s 93rd Academy Awards ceremony.

Ahmed is nominated for best actor for “Sound of Metal,” while Davis is nominated for best actress for “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.”

They join previously announced presenters Angela Bassett, Halle Berry, Don Cheadle, Bryan Cranston, Harrison Ford, Regina King, Marlee Matlin, Rita Moreno, Reese Witherspoon and Zendaya. Also presenting will be Joaquin Phoenix and Renée Zellweger, last year’s best actor and best actress winners, along with supporting-acting winners Brad Pitt and Laura Dern. Bong Joon Ho, who won last year’s Oscars for director, best picture and original screenplay for “Parasite,” will also take part.

Due to COVID-19, the Oscar ceremony will originate from multiple venues, primarily from Union Station north of downtown Los Angeles, but also from its traditional home at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. Some attendees are expected to make their appearances from international locations.
