A multi-vehicle collision in South Gate involving a jack-knifed semi closed several lanes of the westbound Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway for several hours Tuesday morning before the lanes were reopened.

Officers were called at 1:29 a.m. to the freeway and Paramount Boulevard, where they a found a collision between several vehicles that left a big rig jack-knifed on the freeway embankment, said a California Highway Patrol spokesman.

No details about the other vehicles or any injuries were available.

The cause of the crash was under investigation, the CHP spokesman said.

The CHP had issued a SigAlert for the westbound numbers two, three and four lanes, but it was canceled around 4 a.m. All lanes were reopened.
