After eight years of wrangling, Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry has finalized her divorce and child-custody arrangements with actor Olivier Martinez, with the couple sharing custody of their 9-year-old son and Berry paying a handsome amount in child support.
According to papers filed Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, the former couple will have joint legal and physical custody of their son, Maceo, with Berry picking up the tab for his school tuition, medical insurance and extracurricular activities.
Berry will also pay Martinez $8,000 per month in child support, according to the court papers, along with 4.3% of any income she earns over $2 million.
The couple were married in 2013, but split two years later, sparking the protracted court battle over child custody and support issues.
The marriage was the third for Berry, 57, who was previously married to baseball star David Justice and singer Eric Benét. She has a teenage daughter with model Gabriel Aubry. The marriage was the first for Martinez, also 57.
