Shortly after winning three Grammy awards Sunday evening at the awards ceremony, rapper Killer Mike was arrested by Los Angeles police on a misdemeanor charge of battery outside of Crypto.com Arena.
The alleged physical altercation happened around 6 p.m. Sunday in the 700 block of Chick Hearn Court, downtown, according to Los Angeles police Officer Mike Lopez. It was unclear who the victim was.
The suspect, 48-year-old Michael Renner, aka Killer Mike, was handcuffed and taken to LAPD’s Central Division, Lopez said.
Killer Mike was in the process of bailing out, Lopez said. His bail amount was not provided.
