Ten people were injured — one critically — when a tram crashed at Universal Studios Saturday evening.
The crash was reported around 9 p.m. Saturday at 3900 Lankershim Blvd., between Barham Boulevard and the Hollywood (101) Freeway in North Hollywood, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesman Fred Fielding.
Nine people were described as having minor injuries, and one person was considered to be in critical condition, he said.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known, and it was unclear if any other vehicles were involved.
KCAL reported that it had a helicopter fly over the scene and spotted a group of people being treated by paramedics, and a larger group being led away from the tram and loaded onto a bus.
