Charlize Theron, Sean Hayes and Sheryl Lee Ralph were among the presenters announced Wednesday for the Critics Choice Association’s inaugural Celebration of LGBTQ+ Cinema & Television event.
The celebration, set for June 7 at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Century City, is the latest edition of celebratory gatherings hosted by the association, which also holds events recognizing contributors to Latino, Black and Asian Pacific movies and television programming. The events are held in an effort “to shine a light on work from historically underrepresented talent.”
Also set to serve as presenters at the LGBTQ+ event are Alan Yang and Ron Funches (“Loot”); Bamby Salcedo, president/CEO of the TransLatin@ Coalition; Charlie Plummer (“National Anthem”); George Cheeks, co-CEO of Paramount Global and President/CEO of CBS; Greg Berlanti (“Fly Me to the Moon” and “Love, Simon”); Jeremy Podeswa (“3 Body Problem”); Jessica Collins (“Acapulco”); Karamo Brown (“Queer Eye”); Mark Indelicato (“Hacks”); Mason Alexander Park (“Quantum Leap” and “National Anthem”); Ricky Martin (“Palm Royale”); and journalist Ronan Farrow.
Comedian Sherry Cola will host the event.
Actress Nava Mau was added Wednesday to the list of honorees at the event, with the association awarding her the Breakthrough Performance Award (Limited Series) for her work as Teri in the Netflix series “Baby Reindeer.”

— Oliver Hermanus (Director Award for Television – Series); and
— Shakina (Writer Award for Television – Series).
The producers of “Fellow Travelers,” including Ron Nyswaner, Matt Bomer, Daniel Minahan, and Robbie Rogers, will receive the Producer Award. Michelle Visage, Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, and Tom Campbell of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” will receive the Trailblazer Award.
The team behind “We’re Here,” including co-creators Johnnie Ingram and Stephen Warren, showrunner/director Peter LoGreco, and drag queens Sasha Velour, Priyanka, Jaida Essence Hall, and Latrice Royale, will receive the Reality TV Award.
