Soulja Boy is dropping a lawsuit he filed against a blogger and a “Bad Boys” cast member in which the rapper alleged that both defendants defamed him when the reality television figure said during an online interview that he had a sexual relationship with the “Crank That” artist, the singer’s attorney told a judge Wednesday.

During a hearing in Los Angeles Superior Court, lawyer Jacque L. Shirley informed Judge Lia Martin that his client was no longer pursuing the case against blogger Latasha “Tasha K” Kebe and William the Baddest, who also was a member of the cast of “Chasing: L.A.” the YouTube series about young entrepreneurs in the Los Angeles area.

According to court papers Shirley filed on Tuesday, Soulja Boy’s decision is “without prejudice,” meaning the case can be refiled later. In earlier papers, Shirley had accused both Kebe and William the Baddest of evading service.

According to the suit, William the Baddest said on Tasha K’s podcast in May 2024 that he and Soulja Boy “were involved in a sexual relationship,” remarks that have negatively affected the performer’s professional and personal life.

Soulja Boy was left “fueled with anxiety and anger and afraid for his reputation,” according to the suit brought in July 2024, which further stated that William the Baddest’s statements are “an embarrassment and disgrace” to the point that Soulja Boy’s fans could abandon or withdraw support for the rapper, causing him “great and irreparable injury.”
