Last year’s Oscar acting winners Adrien Brody, Mikey Madison, Zoe Saldaña and Kieran Culkin will return to the stage as the first announced presenters for the 98th Academy Awards, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences said Thursday.
Brody won his second best actor Oscar for his performance as an architect in “The Brutalist,” while Madison earned best actress honors for her role in the dramedy “Anora.” Culkin captured the supporting actor award for “A Real Pain,” and Saldaña won supporting actress for her performance in the Spanish-language musical “Emilia Pérez.”
The Academy has traditionally invited the previous year’s acting winners to return as presenters, often handing off awards to the next group of winners.
Additional presenters are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
This year’s nominations are led by “Sinners,” Ryan Coogler’s vampire drama, which earned a record 16 nominations. Paul Thomas Anderson’s political action film “One Battle After Another” followed with 13 nominations. Both films are competing for best picture alongside “Bugonia,” “F1,” “Frankenstein,” “Hamnet,” “Marty Supreme,” “The Secret Agent,” “Sentimental Value” and “Train Dreams.”
The 98th Academy Awards, hosted by Conan O’Brien, will be presented March 15 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
