Aerosmith appeared to tease Monday that it will return to the stage at the Hollywood Bowl, more than two years after the band ended touring because of lead singer Steven Tyler’s vocal injury.

A video released by the band shows Tyler placing letters on the Hollywood Bowl marquee with photographer Ross Halfin.

“It’s `Aerosmith and Friends,’ Ross … Aerosmith and Friends!” Tyler says in the video as the dates Oct. 29 and Nov. 1 are displayed on the marquee.

The band said full details would be released at 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Formed in Boston in 1970, Aerosmith became one of rock’s most successful acts with songs including “Dream On,” “Sweet Emotion,” “Walk This Way” and “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.”

The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. Its longtime lineup includes Tyler, guitarist Joe Perry, guitarist Brad Whitford, bassist Tom Hamilton and drummer Joey Kramer.

Aerosmith canceled its farewell tour in 2024, saying it could not continue after Tyler sustained a vocal injury only a few shows into the tour’s 2023 launch.

Tyler has since performed at benefit shows and awards ceremonies, including the Back to the Beginning concert.
