The longest of the closures will begin at 9 p.m., blocking Crenshaw between Exposition Boulevard and Coliseum Street throughout the weekend, with the road set to reopen at 6 a.m. Monday. The same stretch of road will also be closed during the same hours on the weekend of Oct. 24-27, according to Metro.
Also beginning at 9 p.m. today, Crenshaw will be closed between Stocker Street and Vernon Avenue. That closure is scheduled to end at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Beginning at 9 p.m. Saturday, Crenshaw will be closed between Stocker and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. That closure will last until 1 p.m. Sunday.
Motorists are being urged to use Arlington Avenue as an alternate north- south route through the area.
The $2 billion Crenshaw/LAX line will stretch from the Expo Line/Crenshaw station to the Green Line station near the airport. It is scheduled for completion in 2019.
