The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Sunday to its lowest amount since Jan. 11, 2011, decreasing 1 cent to $3.341.

The average price has decreased 32 consecutive days and 55 of the past 56, dropping 48.7 cents over that span, including 1.5 cents on Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 8.9 cents less than one week ago, 37.2 cents lower than one month ago and 36.3 cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped nine-tenths of a cent on Sunday to $3.30, one day after a 29-day streak of decreases ended when it rose 1 cent. It is 10.4 cents less than one week ago, 38.2 cents lower than one month ago and 37.2 cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price decreased 35.3 cents during the 29-day streak of dropping prices to its lowest amount since Jan. 5, 2011.
