The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Monday to its lowest amount since May 18, 2009, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $2.528.

The average price has dropped 14 consecutive days, decreasing 15.6 cents, including 1 cent on Sunday. It is 9 cents less than one week ago, 28.2 cents lower than one month ago and $1.107 below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The Orange County average price dropped Monday to its lowest amount since May 16, 2009, decreasing a half-cent to $2.499. It has dropped 13 consecutive days, decreasing 15.8 cents, including nine-tenths of a cent on Sunday.

The Orange County average price is 9.2 cents less than one week ago, 26.8 cents lower than one month ago and $1.121 below what it was one year ago.
