Former Austrian skiing star Klaus Heidegger was honored at a breakfast at the Sportsmen’s Lodge for his support of the Sky’s the Limit Fund which provides financial assistance for at-risk youths to participate in wilderness therapy programs.

The organization believes that reducing the financial stress on families and providing supporting resources can allow youth and families to focus on treatment and regain hope.

Benefits of wilderness therapy programs cited by the group include the challenges of a wilderness setting provide daily success experiences which eliminate negative beliefs and lead to more positive self-perceptions.

The organization was named because its founders believed “the sky is literally the limit for youth to achieve their maximum potential.”
