The 67th Primetime Emmy Awards drew the smallest audience since individual viewership figures began being released on an annual basis in 1982, according to preliminary data released Tuesday by Nielsen.

The nearly three-hour ceremony from the Microsoft Theater hosted by “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star Andy Samberg and aired on Fox averaged 11.9 million viewers. The previous low was 12.3 million for the 1990 ceremony, which also aired on Fox.

Final figures are scheduled to be announced on Tuesday but are not expected to be much different from the preliminary figures.
