The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Tuesday to the lowest level since Feb. 22, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.053.

The average price has dropped for 34 consecutive days and 52 of the past 53, decreasing 83.6 cents, including three-tenths of a cent on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 6.3 cents less than one week ago, 43 cents lower than one month ago and 65 cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped Tuesday to its lowest amount since Feb. 21, decreasing four-tenths of a cent to $2.987.

The Orange County average price has dropped 33 consecutive days and 52 of the past 53, decreasing 84.8 cents, including three-tenths of a cent on Monday. It is 6.5 cents less than one week ago, 43 cents lower than one month ago and 68.3 cents below what it was one year ago.
