Bus shuttles will continue to move passengers between the Rosa Parks and Compton stations along the Metro Blue Line through Friday, as crews make rail system repairs following a car-train crash at Willowbrook Avenue and 119th Street.
A motorist made an illegal left turn onto the tracks at about 7:30 a.m. Monday, colliding with a southbound train whose front car derailed, causing heavy damage to the tracks and equipment, authorities said.
The vehicle’s driver was injured and taken to a hospital, according to Metro’s Jose Ubaldo.
No one aboard the train was injured.
