No ticket with all six numbers was sold for Wednesday night’s drawing, resulting in the record jackpot coming up this weekend. FSeveral tickets were sold with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, including one in California. The ticket sold at Perry’s Liquor in Union City is worth $1,414,967, the California Lottery announced.
The numbers drawn Wednesday night were 2, 11, 47, 62, 63 and the Powerball number was 17. The estimated jackpot was $500 million.
The drawing was the 18th since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in about 293 million, according to the Powerball website. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.87.
The Powerball game is played in 44 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
