The sheriff’s department Friday asked for the public’s help in finding a 60-year-old schizophrenic Carson woman missing since December.
Margaret Mahurin, also known as Peggy Leonard, was last seen at 9 a.m. December 18, a Friday, at her home in the 21000 block of Figueroa Street, according to the sheriff’s department.
Mahurin is white, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 115 pounds with brown hair and eyes. She walks with a limp and is missing all of her teeth but doesn’t wear dentures.
Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts was asked to call the Missing Persons Unit at the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500. Anonymous tips can be provided through Crime Stoppers by calling (800) 222- TIPS.
