A one-mile section of water pipe at the canyon’s park is being replaced after Department of Water and Power officials identified 30 spots along the 6- inch pipe that are prone to leaks.
The park and the hiking trails, with their sweeping views of the city and the nearby Hollywood sign, will be closed until July. A yoga field at the park will remain open.
City officials previously released a list of nearby facilities with similar hiking trails and recreational opportunities. They include:
–Franklin Canyon Park, 2600 Franklin Canyon Drive in Beverly Hills;
–Fryman Canyon Park, 8401 Mulholland Drive in Studio City;
–Hollywood Reservoir, 6399 Weidlake Drive in Hollywood;
–Wilacre Park, 12601 Mulholland Drive in Studio City.
