A Manhattan Beach resident reported a coyote roaming a neighborhood street Tuesday, prompting a police search that failed to turn up the animal.
Manhattan Beach police said a resident spotted the coyote on North Ardmore Avenue.
Although the animal wasn’t found, police reminded residents to avoid approaching, feeding or trying to capture the animals.
Coyotes will hunt rodents and rabbits for food, but will also eat garbage, pet food and domestic animals if it is readily available.
