A female bear that dipped in a La Canada pool earlier this week made her way into a Glendale neighborhood.

The bear — tagged when she visited a Pasadena-area neighborhood late last month — is the same one that caused excitement in La Canada Flintridge when she wandered through a neighborhood, waded into a backyard pool and then napped in a tree for more than five hours on Wednesday before scampering back into the hills.

The 200-pound, 3-year-old bear was again in a tree Friday, this time in the 2900 block of San Gregory Road.

State Department of Fish and Wildlife personnel were on hand, according to Glendale police.

A resident told reporters the bear was seen eating a deer and climbed up a tree after game wardens tried to tranquilize it.
