Firefighters assisted a hiker in distress near the top of Mount Hollywood in Griffith Park Tuesday night.
The hiker was with a group of other hikers on the mountain about 6:45 p.m. when the Los Angeles Fire Department received a distress call, according to the department’s Margaret Stewart.
After sending air and ground crews to the scene, rescuers reached the patient at 7:13 p.m. and were providing medical assistance, as required, Stewart said.
The condition of the distressed hiker was not available.
