Sunday’s soaring temperatures contributed to nearly 90 heat-related emergencies at the Los Angeles Rams game at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum, according to the city Fire Department.

A total of 26 patients had been treated at the Coliseum by city fire paramedics, fire department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said at about 3 p.m. Of those, five people were transported to hospitals for treatment, she said.

AMR, a private ambulance service has also treated at least 60 people for heat-related problems. Of those, two people were transported to hospitals, according to Stewart.

Game time temperature was more than 90 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Sunday’s game is the first NFL regular season contest at the Coliseum since 1994. The Rams were hosting the Seattle Seahawks.
