A 79-year-old man with dementia who went missing in Long Beach was found dead in Compton, authorities said Friday.
Charles Wilbert Rogers was last seen alive late Saturday night at his home in the 100 block of West Dameron Street, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The coroner’s office notified Long Beach police Friday that sheriff’s Transit Services deputies found Rogers’ body Thursday in the area of Compton Creek near Del Amo Boulevard. He appeared to have died from natural causes.
Rogers also went missing about eight months ago and was found in Carson by sheriff’s deputies, police said.
