A candlelight vigil was scheduled for Sunday evening in honor of Dawson Hartwig, the 20-year-old son of San Bernardino County Fire Chief Mark Hartwig, on the front lawn of Cal Baptist University.

Dawson Hartwig was planning to transfer to Cal Baptist in the fall to complete his degree in sports marketing, after an earlier stint at the university, according to his father.

He went missing on Jan. 28 and his body was pulled from Lake Arrowhead the next day.

The cause of Dawson’s Hartwig’s death was still under investigation, although foul play was not suspected, authorities said.

Candles are to be provided at the vigil, which runs from 8 to 9 p.m. at the university, located at 8432 Magnolia Ave in Riverside.
