The Santa Ana (5) Freeway and adjacent connectors in Norwalk and Santa Fe Springs will be closed nightly beginning Sunday for improvement projects.
The northbound Santa Ana Freeway will be closed between Artesia Boulevard and Alondra Boulevard from 12:01-5 a.m. Monday for re-striping, Caltrans announced.
Some lanes of the southbound portion between the two exits will be closed from 12:01-4 a.m. Monday, but at least one lane will be open.
The westbound transition road from the Riverside (91) Freeway to the northbound Santa Ana Freeway will be closed from 11 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
The northbound Santa Ana Freeway will be closed between the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway and Norwalk Boulevard nightly from 12:01 a.m.-5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday.
The southbound portion will be closed nightly from 11 p.m.-5 p.m. Saturday though Thursday as crews remove bent footings and move K-rail.
The Florence Avenue Interchange Project will also prompt the closure of the northbound and southbound 605 Freeway connectors to the southbound 5 Freeway from 7 p.m.-5 a.m. nightly Saturday through Thursday
