Los Angeles County Fire Department firefighters used a helicopter and ground units Friday to rescue a man who was trapped on a cliff in Palos Verdes Estates.
The rescue operation in the 1300 block of Paseo Del Mar began about 6:50 p.m., according to Capt. Brad Evans.
The man was lifted to safety around 7:40 p.m., according to Palos Verdes police, who assisted in the rescue.
The hiker was not injured.
